The
TSA is cracking down on powder in carry-on luggage.
Starting June 30, any passenger carrying more than 12
ounces of powder (baby powder, formula, cosmetics,
ground coffee, dried spices, etc.) may be subject to
additional screening at security. If TSA cannot identify
the substance, it may be confiscated and thrown away.
This new security measure aims to eliminate the
possibility of powder being used to make improvised
explosive devices. |
