3 Rules of Travel to Remember

Don't forget to discuss these simple rules to your clients before they depart!

Wise travelers use travel agents. Wise travel agents equip their clients with the tools for a stress-free vacation. Here are our top three tips for your clients before they depart:

  • Check passport dates: Passports must be valid for a MINIMUM of 6 months after the expected return date or your clients may be denied boarding.
  • Review travel documentation: Make sure that the documents are correct and printed. Any modifications must be completed at least two weeks before departure.
  • Go over a packing list: Transfer services allow one suitcase per person unless noted prior to making the booking.

Industry Updates

The TSA is cracking down on powder in carry-on luggage. Starting June 30, any passenger carrying more than 12 ounces of powder (baby powder, formula, cosmetics, ground coffee, dried spices, etc.) may be subject to additional screening at security. If TSA cannot identify the substance, it may be confiscated and thrown away. This new security measure aims to eliminate the possibility of powder being used to make improvised explosive devices.
